The State of Israel does more than any other country for the welfare of its war disabled. It provides disability pensions, superior medical care, professional and vocational training, university grants and housing assistance. Despite its important contribution, however, the State is unable to finance all the vast rehabilitation needs of the disabled veterans.
In an effort to deal with some of these problems, the Zahal Disabled Veterans Organization established its financial arm: The Zahal Disabled Veterans Fund. |

We send thousands of packages to Chayalim Bodedim (soldiers without family in Israel) filled with winter socks, gloves, hats, numerous assorted treats, toiletries and miniature magnetic games. Each package contains a letter of appreciation from children and adults from all over the world for their part in securing our country. The language in which the letters are written is not important because the soldiers translate for each other when necessary. |

The Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) is the American partner of the AWIS. FIDF helps support social, education and recreational programs and facilities for the young men and women soldiers of Israel who defend the Jewish homeland. We also provide these services to the widows and children of soldiers who have fallen in defense of Israel. FIDF is a tax-deductible organization by US law. Today's support includes; building, maintaining and operating 17 modern and sophisticated facilities; establishing and renovating hundreds of clubrooms and fitness rooms on IDF bases; and the constant caring for each and every IDF soldier. In these troubled times, people around the world are looking for tangible ways to share their feelings with our Israeli soldiers. Our site gives you the opportunity to send Pizza and Soda* and now for winter, hot, hearty, healthy vegetable soup, to active duty soldiers who are fighting terror and protecting the Jewish people. This includes soldiers on regular military service as well as those who have left their families, homes and jobs to serve the Jewish people as Miluim (Reserve Duty) fighters.
