November 12, 2018 - Mahmoud Abu Asba (48) a Palestinian father of six from the village of Halhul, north of Hebron in the West Bank, was killed on Monday night (12 November 2018) in the barrage of rockets launched from Gaza at the Israeli city of Ashkelon.
Abu Asba, a Palestinian construction worker who held permits to work in Israel legally, was killed when a rocket fired from Gaza hit the apartment building in which he resided. He was the first casualty in Israel in this round of hostilities between Israel and the Palestinians, which began on Sunday, 11 November.
Mahmoud Abu Asba was laid to rest in his home village of Halhul. He is survived by his wife and six children, four sons and two daughters.
