Nov 20, 2012 - Alayaan Salem al-Nabari, 33, from the Beduin village of Rejwan in the Negev were killed by mortar fire in the Eshkol Regional Council area.
Alayaan Salem al-Nabari, from a well-known Beduin clan in the Negev, a 33-year-old father of eight, came to the building site for the first time on Tuesday morning with his cousin, Ali Nabari, who works for a company that builds tents for soldiers. Ali Nabari, who was lightly wounded by the blast relates: "We were working in the field when the alarm sounded. Everyone ran for cover - soldiers and workers - but Alayaan didn't make it in time and was hit."
Alayaan was evacuated to hospital, but doctors were unable to save him. His cousin said, "He was a very brave and reliable person, who wanted to work to support his wife and children."
Alayaan Salem al-Nabari was buried in the Lakia cemetery. He is survived by his wife and eight children, including twins born only a year ago.
